Good Slopes for Beginners

Created: March 12, 2020

In my opinion Filzstein offers ideal slopes for beginners. Many wide and long slopes allow you to work on your technique undisturbed and without stress. Especially in comparison to Königsleiten the slopes are not too steep and also not so crowded. You can reach Filzstein easily with the free of charge ski bus (rides every 30 minutes).

Zillertal Arena

Created: March 08, 2020

It's never too late to learn to ski. In the Zillertal Arena, the largest ski area in the Zillertal, there are many ski schools that also offer an easy introduction for adults. Ski courses usually start on Sunday or Monday and it is recommended to check the times on the websites before. Many ski schools also offer equipment rental - often at a special price with a course. Another possibility is private lessons, which give you more flexibility and direct feedback how to improve faster.

I went on a 3 day hiking trip with a few friends. The tour started in Vent leading to the Hochjoch-Hospiz, where we slept the first night. The destination on our second day was the Breslauer Hütte. The second day of the hike was particularly impressive since we were completely surrounded by the mountains and the trail went over a lot of "loose" boulders . On the last day we did a relaxed 3-4 h hike back to Vent.
